SiS Youth Home Långanäs receives non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse.

Job Description

Do you want to help create a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as an operational leader is a meaningful role. SiS Youth Home Långanäs is now looking for two operational leaders who want to help create a safe environment for our placed youth and our staff.

In the role of operational leader, you will be responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside office hours, in the evenings and nights, to promote a safe care and work environment. You will guide and support your colleagues in their work and ensure that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable guidelines, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this includes being responsible for incident management during alarm situations and taking necessary actions after an incident occurs. You will communicate noted deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant managers. You will establish and update safety assessments and make decisions on coercive measures according to LVU, LSU, and LVM in accordance with SiS's work and delegation order.

As a new employee at SiS, you will undergo a government-wide basic training. Prior to the role of operational leader, you will also receive a training package aimed at you as an operational leader to ensure you have the right conditions to perform your duties.

Working hours will be during the day, evening, and night. You and your four colleagues will work on a five-week schedule where you will work two out of five weekends.

Qualifications

You have the will and ability to act according to applicable decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and act in the best interest of the organization. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

You should also have:

• Relevant higher education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or other equivalent higher education, or at least a two-year vocational education (treatment pedagogue) along with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
• Several years of experience working within SiS or other operations focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant fields.
• Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a workgroup.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement. Working hours are distributed across day, evening, and night.
